In this picture, one can view a fine example of a new Apricot blossom before it is fully opened in the South Tyrol of Italy.
When a new Apricot blossom begins to open, the petals seem to be wrinkled. As the sun warms the flower, the five dainty petals will become more rounded and uniform. The leaves are still folded inwards which will also begin to open and spread apart as the Spring season continues and the temperatures become slightly warmer....
